JBL announced earlier today that Smackdown will be holding not one, but TWO championship scramble matches at A Night of Champions. One for the World Heavyweight Championship, another for the United States Championship. He is also promising a "major surprise" for the pay per view, but will not reveal what it is until the night of PPV itself.

As mentioned on Friday Night Smackdown, several contracts from both Raw and Smackdown expired Sunday night at midnight, shortly after Judgment Day. Wrestlers from Smackdown who had expired contracts are: Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, Carlito and Mr. Kennedy. For Raw: Ted DiBiase, Rey Mysterio, Kozlov and Jeff Hardy's contracts have expired as well. What does this mean for these superstars? Will they resign deals, become free agents or sign with a new show?

The last stop before Judgment Day this Sunday, Smackdown is LIVE on the air right now!!
With 48 hours before the return of Wargames, Cryme Tyme (with Matt Hardy in their corner) will battle The Cartel (with Finlay in their corner). Also, there will be a series of matches to determine which 4 men will square off at Judgment Day for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Tyson Kidd defends against fellow Canadian Petey Williams, and both members of the United Nations will be in action as Tajiri will face Kofi Kingston and Sheik Abdul Bashir faces Santino Marella.
In a HUGE main event, World Champion CM Punk will team with US Champion Jack Swagger to take on the World Tag Team Champions, Ryan Powers and David Otunga. Also, Big Show will do battle with Kane!!

Theodore Marvin "Ted" DiBiase, best known as "The Million Dollar Man" is rumored to be returning to WWE programming.
Many believe that DiBiase will align himself with his son, "The Fortunate Son" Ted DiBiase on Raw. The former Million Dollar Champion has refused comment, but it is rumored that he will be trying to reform the once feared group, "The Million Dollar Corporation".
